Last year our spring broke on our garage door. I contacted a local service group and a sub-contractor showed up. He replaced the rod and spring and did a subpar job. A few months later, the spring started kinking and causing a bind when the garage closed. Called him back and he came back and adjusted the spring but did not fix what caused the issue. A year later the same problem came back. This time I called again and the number is disconnected. I called another local service group and the number just rang. I decided to look at Google reviews and and found BDK Door Inc. I called and talked with Patty. I called on a Wednesday and she got me on the schedule for Friday afternoon. They have a great notification system that texts you the appointment and who is coming out. Friday afternoon I didn’t hear from anyone and I texted back and within a few minutes I was notified who was coming and what time. Joshua came out and I showed him the issue. Within 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem and looked over the previous installation. The previous installed had missing bracket bolts, upside down main bracket and take up wires that were too long. Joshua showed all of the items to me. He fixed the spring, reinforced the brackets with bolts, trimmed the wires to length and lubricated all hinges, spindles and or course the spring. Checked for balance and torque. Adjusted the garage closer chain as well. The door is very quiet and works smoothly now. Highly recommend this company. Their communication is great, Patty was awesome to work with and Joshua, our tech, was very informative and did a great job.
